The Celadon City Gym specializes in grass-type Pokemon. The best type of attacks to use against grass-type Pokemon are bug-, fire-, and flying-type attacks. It should also be noted that, many grass-type Pokemon are grass/poison, making them strong against bug-type attacks and weak to psychic-type attacks.
Before you can enter the Gym, you must show the woman at the door a cute Pokemon from your team. The easiest thing to do is put your Partner Pokemon in your party to pass this test. The Trainers in this gym are laid out in a spiral pattern. The first Trainer can be found a short distance down the road from the entrance.
Defeat Kay to receive P560. Follow the road south and to the east until you reach two bushes. Use your Partner Pokemon’s secret technique to cut down the bush to the north. The path will fork again a short distance ahead. Take the road to the east first to find a Pokemon Trainer at a dead end.
Defeat Tamia to receive P1,740. Follow the road northward until you reach two bushes. Chop down the bush on the left and follow the road all the way to the west side of the gym. You’ll get a small glimpse of Erika before reaching the next Trainer.
Defeat Erika to receive P5,440. You’ll also get the Rainbow Badge, which allows Pokemon up to level 50 to obey you in battle. Finally, you’ll receive TM53 Mega Drain. This is a powerful grass-type attack that saps the opposing Pokemon’s HP and restores the user’s health by half of the HP taken.
