The S.S. Anne is a large cruse ship docked in Vermilion City’s bay. You’ll only be able to visit it this one time, but there won’t be anything special you can miss. When you first arrive, you’ll meet up with your Rival and Blue. Blue will give you a Shalour Sable, which heals any status condition of a Pokemon one time.
It’s best to investigate every room on the ship to battle every Trainer and pick up each item. Start with the main deck.
Main Deck
If your team gets weak, speak to the woman in the first room on the right to restore their health for free. The next room on the right has a Pokemon Trainer inside.

The upper deck can be reached by taking the staircase from the left side of the main deck. The main objective is on the right side of the upper deck, but first you can investigate the outside by taking the staircase on the left side of the upper deck. Defeat your Rival to receive P1,260. Your Partner Pokemon will be very happy for the win. Ascend the stairs and speak with the Captain of the S.S. Anne. He’ll teach your Partner Pokemon the very first secret technique: Chop Down. You can now leave the S.S. Anne and use this new technique to enter the Vermilion City Gym.
Before going to the Gym, you can challenge a Pokemon Gym Leader from a far off region. She’ll be standing on the pier, apparently having missed her ship.
