Pokemon Yellow Walkthrough

Lavender Town

Lavender Town is a small, spooky area on the east side of Kanto. You won’t be able to do much the first time you arrive. Talk to the residents and buy some items from the Poke Mart. You can finally buy Revives, which will revive a fainted Pokemon with 50% health!

The building to the left of the Poke Mart has the name rater. Speak with him to change the nicknames of any of your Pokemon. However, you cannot change the nickname of Pokemon received in trades.

Item Price
Great Ball 600
Super Potion 700

When you’re ready to continue on with your adventure, you can enter the Pokemon Tower at the northeast corner of town. Pokemon cannot be captured here at this time because you need a special item to detect them. However, your Rival will be waiting to battle you on the second floor. His team will vary depending on which type the Eevee evolved into. With this multi-type team, you’ll have to stay on your toes to counter each element.
