Mt. Moon

Pokemon Type
Sandshrew Ground
Clefairy Normal
Zubat Poison/Flying
Geodude Rock/Ground

Mt. Moon is a small cave between Route 3 and Route 4. There will be many wild Pokemon as you explore – mostly Zubat – so be prepared for trouble. Follow my walkthrough exactly to easily get all the items and battle all the trainers along the way.

Enter the cave and walk forward to a sign. You’ll see a girl right next to the sign who will challenge you to a Pokemon battle.

Clefairy 14 Normal Pound, Growl, Sing

If you need to, you can return to the Pokemon Center to heal your Pokemon. Next, go to the southwest corner of the cave. You should find TM12 – Water Gun here. Go north to find a Potion right next to another Pokemon trainer.

Bug Catcher

This will clear out the southwest section of the cave. Easy, right? Return to the sign from earlier and go to the northeast. You should find a ladder near the narrow path. Take this ladder to another ladder, which will lead to a completely separate floor. To the north is another Pokemon trainer.

After the battle, walk to the northeast to find an HP Up. That’s all there is in this area, so take the ladders back to the first floor.

Once you’re back on the first floor, go directly south until you find another Pokemon trainer.
