Routes 19 and 20

Routes 19 and 20 are mainly sea routes south of Fuchsia City. Seafoam Island can be found in the middle of Route 20, so this page will cover the area up to Seafoam Islands.

Two Pokemon Trainer can be found near the shore of Route 19, which is just south of Fuchsia. You can battle them whenever you’re ready.

The rest of the Trainers can be found along the water route. You’ll need HM03 Surf from the Safari Zone, a Pokemon that can use it, and the Soul Badge from the Fuchsia City Gym to continue on. Make sure you also have a ton of healing items, Ultra Balls, and a Pokemon that knows HM04 Strength!
