Route 24 is a short route to the north of Cerulean City. The majority of the route is a long bridge called “Nugget Bridge.” You must defeat all the trainers on this bridge before you can continue on. Defeat all the trainers to earn a Nugget, which you can sell for 5000 money. The trainers are listed below.

After defeating all the trainers on Nugget Bridge, walk over to the area in the northwest to find TM45 – Thunder Wave.

You can battle one more trainer in the tall grass to the west. This is also the only area where you can capture Pokemon in this route. If you don’t have a grass-type Pokemon in your party, you may want to catch one here in preparation for the Cerulean City Gym. You can catch an Oddish in Red or a Bellsprout in Blue.
