Unlockables
This section is a quick reference for all unlockables found in Extra New Game. Click the link to see each item’s individual page for more information.

Both games have the option to add more bullets to the game. After beating the game once, go to the Options Menu and press R1/RB. You’ll find the extra Options, which include a Bullet Modifier. You can go up to x3 on SH2 and x2 on SH3
Costumes
After completing the game, you’ll unlock the “Extra Costumes” option at the main menu. Enter Passwords to unlock new costumes.
Beginner Difficulty
After dying a certain amount of times on Normal, you’ll get the option to use Beginner Difficulty. This allows you to change your difficulty to an easier than Easy difficulty in the Options Menu. It will only affect your star ranking at the end of the game.
Action Level Extreme
Beat the game on Hard Difficulty to earn Action Level Extreme 1. The options go all the way to Extreme X, or 10. The game becomes insanely difficult as the Extreme levels rise.
Unlimited Submachine Gun
The Unlimited Submachine Gun is unlocked after beating the final boss (God) with a melee weapon dealing the final blow.
Found in an Extra New Game on a pile of boxes in an alleyway. This is directly after squeezing out of the bathroom window at the beginning of the game.
Beam Saber
The Beam Saber is unlocked beating the game under certain conditions. Kill more enemies with melee attacks than with firearms; or acquire the Flamethrower in the previous game.
Found at the end of the hall when re-entering the Shopping Mall after squeezing out the bathroom window.
Flamethrower
The Flamethrower is unlocked beating the game under certain conditions. Kill more enemies with firearms than with melee attacks; or acquire the Unlimited Submachine Gun in the previous game.
Found in the Bakery of the Shopping Mall.
Gold and Silver Pipes
The Gold Pipe and Silver Pipe are both unlocked in a hidden manner. When in the Sewers, before throwing the Dryer into the water at the end, investigate the water without the Steel Pipe equipped. The game will ask you if you want to throw the Steel Pipe in. Say yes and answer the questions honestly. You’ll receive all three pipes back.
Silencer
The Silencer is a hidden attachment found in a dry wall at the Construction Site. Hit the wall with a melee weapon to break the wall and find the Silencer.
Heather Beam / Sexy Beam
The Heather Beam is unlocked after killing 333 monsters throughout your many play throughs. Use the Transform Costume to change it into the Sexy Beam
Douglas in Underpants
- Beat Silent Hill 3 at least once to unlock Extra New Game.
- Return to the main menu and highlight the “Extra New Game” option
- Enter the old Konami Code: (UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, CIRCLE, X)
- Select your difficulties
The game will say “Sexy” to confirm you did it right. The first cut scene will have Douglas Cartland in it, wearing nothing but a trench coat, tie, hat, and boxers.
