Books can be acquired by buying them from the Yomenaido Bookstore in the Shopping District, South or earning them with quests or events.
Read an entire Book to increase a given Stat permanently. Each book can have between two and five chapters. Only one chapter can be read at a time, unless you have already read “Hyperspeed Reading.” That book will allow you to read two chapters at a time. Reading will pass the time from afternoon to evening, or evening to the next day.
Reading all books will unlock the Reader King Accessory. This is an accessory that increases the Magic stat by 10. The Book List below is in order of when they first become available at the bookstore. Books from festivals or specific events must be obtained on that day and only that day.

Event-Related Books
The three Strength event-related books are absolutely miss-able if you are on the Basketball team, so pay close attention. If you are on the Soccer team, don’t worry– you’ll be fine. Make sure to save the day before each book will become available. You may have to select the appropriate response to obtain the book during an outing.
- The Witch Detective requires Strength rank of 3 or less on May 29th (5/29). Note: Make sure you rescue Kanji before this date or you won’t get the book.
- Poly-land requires Strength rank of 4 on July 15th (7/15). It may be possible with Rank 8 as well. Go to your room on this day with a rank of 4 to receive a call from Kou for a study date on the upcoming Sunday. Say you’re allergic to Algebra as a response to get the book.
- The O-Cha Way requires Strength rank of 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, or 9 on August 10th (8/10) if you’re on the Basketball Team. You cannot get this book with Strength rank of 5 or 6 if your Social Link is Kou. Daisuke/Soccer Team can be any Strength rank to receive the book.
These last two books are not quite as restrictive as the previous three, but you still need to pay attention to get them.
- The Divine Way received during the Summer Festival on August 21st (8/21).
- The Ramen Way received only after eating at Aiya’s restaurant eight times.
