Armor

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild treats armor very differently from the rest of their items. Unlike weapons and shields, armor does not deteriorate or ever break. There are three sections for pieces of armor: the head, the torso, and the legs.

Some pieces of armor have special effects upon equipping them. Mix and match armor to obtain various bonuses at once. If all three pieces in a set are equipped, the same effects will increase. An additional set bonus will activate once all three pieces in a set are upgraded two stars. Armor can be upgraded at the four Great Fairy Fountains. See the Great Fairy Fountain page for more info.
