Items

This page lists all available items in Persona 4 Golden. In the game, all items will be dumped in one big menu. To make things easier to find, I split up all items into several sections, such as healing items, dungeon items, battle items, skill cards, materials, and gems.

Items can be found through Exploring Dungeons, completing Side Quests, winning Battles, or simply from buying them at Shiroku Store in Shopping District, South.

Healing Items

There are a number of Healing Items in Persona 4. Some restore HP, some restore SP, some revive allies, and some heal Status Ailments.

These items can be found in Chests in The TV World, or they can be bought from the Shiroku Store in the Central Shopping District. Several drinks can also be bought from vending machines in the Central Shopping District.

Life Stone N/A Restores 30% of an ally’s max HP.
Bead N/A Fully restores an ally’s HP.
Huge Fish Fishing Restores all of one ally’s HP.
Meguro Tuna Fishing Restores all of one ally’s HP.

Revival Bead 1,950 Revives an ally, and restores 50% of HP.
Balm of Life 4,850 Revives an ally, and fully restores HP.
Dokudami Tea 450 Cures Poison (1 Ally).
Mouthwash 450 Cures Silence (1 Ally).
Royal Jelly 450 Cures Enervation and Exhaustion (1 Ally).
Sedative 450 Cures Panic, Fear, and Rage (1 Ally).
Stimulant 450 Cures Dizzy and Down (1 Ally).
Amrita Soda N/A Cures all ailments besides Down and Unconscious (party).
Hiranya Gardening Cures all ailments besides Down and Unconscious (party).

Battle Items

Battle Items are items that can only be used while in a Battle against Shadows in The TV World. Some cause damage to Shadows, and some help allies.

These items can be found in Treasure Chests inside The TV World, won after battle, or bought fro the Shiroku Store in the Central Shopping District.

San-zun Tama 850 Deals 50 points of Fire damage to all enemies.
Pinwheel 450 Deals 50 points of Wind damage to 1 enemy.
Yashichi 850 Deals 50 points of Wind damage to all enemies.
Cyclone Magatama N/A Deals 150 points of Wind damage to 1 enemy.
Ball of Lightning 450 Deals 50 points of Electric damage to 1 enemy.
Tesla Coil 850 Deals 50 points of Electric damage to all enemies.
Arc Magatama N/A Deals 150 points of Electric damage to 1 enemy.
Smart Bomb N/A Deals 100 points of non-elemental damage to all enemies.
Bombing Balloon N/A Deals 100 points of non-elemental damage to all enemies.
Curse Paper N/A Casts Mudoon on 1 enemy.
Segaki Paper N/A Casts Hamaon on 1 enemy.

Physical Mirror N/A Barrier that reflects Physical Attack one time (1 ally).
Magic Mirror N/A Barrier that reflects magic one time (1 ally).
Fire Signal N/A Raises the entire party’s Attack.
Uplifting Radio N/A Raises the entire party’s Attack.
Diamond Shield N/A Briefly raises the entire party’s Defense.
Super Sonic N/A Briefly raises the entire party’s Evasion/Hit rate.
Olympic Tape N/A Raises party’s Evasion/Hit rate.
Purifying Salt N/A Nullifies stat penalties (all foes).
Purified Water N/A Nullifies stat bonuses (all foes).
Red Paprika Gardening Gives one ally Fire resistance for 3 turns.
White Paprika Gardening Gives one ally Ice resistance for 3 turns.
Blue Paprika Gardening Gives one ally Electric resistance for 3 turns.
Green Paprika Gardening Gives one ally Wind resistance for 3 turns.

Dungeon Items

Dungeon Items are items that can only be used while in a “Dungeon” in The TV World. These can be obtained from Chests in Dungeons, the Shiroku Store in the Central Shopping District, and from defeating Shadows.

Vanish Ball 950 100% chance of escaping a battle (some battles are inescapable).
Chest Key N/A A key to open locked treasure chests.

Skill Cards

Skill Cards can be obtained randomly at the end of battles during Shuffle Times. They can also be obtained by drinking Coffee in Okina City with a Persona that knows a technique with a skill card icon.

Each skill card can be used to teach the Protagonist’s Personas a new technique. Make note: skill cards are one-time use items, and teaching a new attack will consume the card. Additionally, skill cards can be added to a registry in The Velvet Room. You will not receive anything for giving Marie your skill cards, but you will be able to buy as many of that skill card as you wish. The better the skill, the higher the price.

Materials

Materials are items obtained after winning battles. They only have two purposes: completing certain Side Quests or selling to Daidara Metal Works in the Central Shopping District. Selling these Materials will allow Daidara to create new Weapons, Armor, or Accessories depending on which piece of material was sold.

Gems

Gems are special items obtained after winning battles. Unlike Materials, Gems serve another purpose other than being sold. Trade these Gems with the old lady at the Shiroku Pub to obtain new weapons. The Shiroku Pub is the same building as the Shiroku Store, but it’s only open during the evening.

Gems can also be obtained from the Lady in White at Tatsuhime Shrine at night once you have given her enough of the fish she requests.
