2016 Otaku New Year’s Resolutions Collaboration

Do you want to be part of an Otaku New Years Resolution collaboration on YouTube? (Update: Video Uploaded)

I started my Otaku YouTube channel on January 1st, 2015. For my one year anniversary I figured I’d make a New Year’s Resolution collaboration! All YouTubers with Otaku or Japanese-based channels are welcome to join. All you need to do is make a short video (preferably 30 seconds max) saying your name / channel name / persona, where you’re from (if you want), and what your New Year’s Resolution is. The only catch is it has to be Otaku related! Examples are:

  • Start watching anime
  • Start reading manga
  • Finish a huge series (One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, etc)
  • Start Cosplaying
  • Create your own Cosplay costume for the first time
  • Begin making AMVs
  • Create your own Vocaloid song

The deadline is December 26th at midnight PST! Record the video, but make sure there’s a few seconds at the beginning and about two or three seconds at the end for transitions. Do not add any music for copyright reasons and because I want to add my own music. Upload the video to YouTube and select unlisted if you don’t want anyone else to see it. Send me the link through the contact form at the top of this website or through Twitter and Facebook. I’ll try to get them edited together with channel info in the description box so we can all get to know each other and subscribe to each other’s channels!

UPDATE

Unfortunately only one person participated in the collaboration. Here’s the video. Hopefully more will send in videos next year.
